The Quality control laboratory verifies the germination and the vigour of all seeds lots following ISTA rules. For each received lot we plan phisical purity checks and grow out checks in order to have confirmation of the phenotype Every single lot is strictly tested in order to have a total traceability.

Panora has a Molecular Biology laboratory with modern tools and always careful to all news. Our technicians work together with Quality Control Lab, with Phytopatology Lab ans also with the Breeding to safeguard a concrete support to the quality of our seeds and the development of new varieties. These are the activities of the Molecular Biology laboratory:- assistance to breeding with the research of molecular markers associated with characters of agronomic interest (MAS, marker assisted selection) - assistance to seeds purity checks

The activities of the phytopathology laboratory of Panora are mainly two: - carries out checks on seeds in order to evaluate its health, using certified laboratories and following European legislation - provides important support to Breeders in the development of resistant varieties. Our laboratory develops infection protocols (treating fungal pathogens only) on different species such as tomato, lettuce and onion. Fundamental for this purpose is the dense network of collaborations that Panora has built with private and public research laboratories (both in Italy and abroad), in order to be always updated on the latest news in the field of plant pathology.
